Interim Program Director - 2015

Assisted 20 year old organization through major transition after losing their space. Played lead role in finding a new space, including conducting site searches, researching building codes, zoning and permitting, and negotiating lease. Created and implemented an expanded education program including selection of teaching artists, writing contracts, and updating online registration software. Collaborated with a development consultant on increasing earned revenue streams and increasing individual donor base. Worked closely with George Thorn of RACC's Cultural Leadership Program to enhance board function, improve business practices and strengthen company culture.

Education and Community Outreach 2006-2007

Developed instructional programming/curriculum for educational workshops, residencies and interactive school performances that targeted students K-12 in the Los Angeles area to generate a deeper understanding and appreciation of the art of dance. Training focused on developing teamwork and
collaborative skills, encouraging creative thinking and was designed specifically to enhance student’s understanding of history, social studies, sciences, math and the language arts.

Teaching Artist/Pilates/Yoga Instruction

Served as a teaching artist in public schools and through under-served youth organizations. Lessons in dance focused on trust, teamwork and individual expression.  Designed and implemented programming including progression of content, skills, meaningful tasks, outcomes and criteria assessment.  Taught Pilates, yoga, dance and aerial in Los Angeles, Paris France and Portland. Tailored classes for diverse students at various skill levels. Shaped private lessons to meet individual’s specific athletic goals, dealing with injury or looking to improve overall health and wellbeing. Served as a knowledge resource in nutrition, injury care and prevention as well as specific exercise techniques.
